Si debes utilizar el inglés en un entorno internacional ya sea porque trabajas en una empresa, o en una organización, internacional, tendrás que hacer frente a dos barreras: 1) la barrera del idioma y 2) la barrera cultural.
Respecto a la barrera del idioma, David y yo pensamos que es mucho mejor centrarse en hablar y escuchar inglés, que en obtener una determinada acreditación. Al fin y al cabo, en todos los trabajos debes comunicarte con compañeros, o con clientes, y lo podrás hacer mucho mejor si tu inglés hablado es fluido.
Pero ¿cómo alcanzar un inglés fluido?
Precisamente, al tiempo que el trabajar hablando inglés todo el tiempo es un gran un reto para alguien que aún no domina la lengua de Shakespeare, también es una gran ventaja. Se pasa mal, pero eso son los primeros meses; es como estar haciendo un curso intensivo en el que en lugar de pagar, te pagan. ¡Gran suerte!
Por eso, una vez superado el miedo inicial, debes alegrarte de tener la oportunidad de trabajar en un lugar en que el inglés es el idioma común.
Si el inglés fluido te lo piden como requisito para acceder a un trabajo en una multinacional, entonces, lo mejor será que previamente hagas un curso intensivo, o una larga estancia en un país anglosajón, de cual no volverás hasta haber alcanzado tu meta. No hay nada mejor que estudiar inglés con una meta muy clara.
